Our client, a Japanese Ship Owner, is looking for an Owner Representative to join their team in Singapore:

  1. Manage and improve ship inspection regime to ensure safety and quality of the fleet which include working with 3rd party inspection companies for such inspections.
  2. Carry out such inspections by self when necessary (occasional).
  3. Perform administrative work for the inspection regime including but not limited to analysis of the outcome and feedback for improvement.
  4. Provide professional advice and recommendations for machinery related issues for troubleshooting.
  5. Conduct analysis of machinery issues information with the objective of updating the fleet for smooth operations.
  6. Manage pre-joining briefing of seafarers.
  7. Research new regulations and technology related to maritime safety and quality.
  8. Evaluate conditions of vessels before hiring.
  9. Manage ISO9001 surveys and certification.

Requirements:

  1. Sailed as C/E on container vessels.
  2. Served as technical superintendent for container vessels.
  3. Willing to take up a new challenge.
