Community charities are championed by TEAM LEWIS' employees, who volunteer their time and skills to provide marketing and communications support to maximize the grants' effectiveness.

Purpose of the Role

The Intern provides administrative support to the wider Account Servicing team. The role requires the ability to handle a number of tasks and projects at any one time. The Intern will develop a clear understanding of the team's requirements and objectives, be proactive in attitude, and support the team at all times.

Key responsibilities and tasks

Client Management

  • Supports the new business process by providing research and coordination.
  • Assists with the coordination of press tours, events, and review programmes.

Media Relations

  • Researches and identifies appropriate journalists, bloggers, and analysts on an ongoing basis.
  • Monitors relevant news sources and alerts the team to relevant breaking news opportunities.
  • Organises and coordinates media interviews and press briefings.

Content

  • Drafts a broad range of written materials.
  • Creates press materials and compelling content for both traditional and digital media.
  • Simple social media management (must be fairly familiar with Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn).

Reporting and analysis

  • Tracks and reports on media activity, including coverage reports, press clippings, and online media engagement, showing progress using metrics.
  • Communicates account performance internally at account reviews.
  • Provides reports to the Account Director or senior management team on request.

General

  • Supports the Account Servicing team on ad hoc initiatives and projects.
  • Takes a proactive role in promoting the TEAM LEWIS brand, its work, identity, and values.

Requirements

  • Inquisitive nature.
  • Calmness under pressure and ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Good English proficiency.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Professional and approachable telephone manner.
  • Flexible attitude.
  • Able to write and/or converse in Mandarin/Bahasa is a plus.
  • Interested in building a career in integrated marketing – across PR, social, data, and digital.
  • No experience needed.

This will be a 3 or 6 month internship role, with a view of a permanent role at the end of the internship depending on business and individual performance.
