Executive - Planning (Inventory Management)

Inventory Planning & Management:
Ensure sufficient and consistent stock levels to meet customer and market demand by managing inventory effectively.

Continuous Improvement:
Initiate improvements in inventory processes, including order planning, buffer stock management, and optimization of monthly stock levels.

Collaboration with Teams:
Work closely with the Supply Assurance (SA) and Sales teams to analyze market trends and current demand patterns.

Purchase Requisition Handling:
Release purchase requisitions (PR) based on inventory and demand forecasts.

Purchase Order Coordination:
Coordinate with the Supply Assurance team to convert PRs into Purchase Orders (PO), manage minimum order quantities (MOQ), and track incoming parts and related purchase order matters.

Backorder Reduction:
Focus on reducing backorders. Collaborate with Sales to resolve backorder issues by reordering with alternatives or superseding parts, and manage order cancellations due to stop marks.

Product Management:
Work with the PPE team to manage part lifecycle, including handling stop marks, superseding parts, and identifying alternative part numbers.

Additional Responsibilities:
Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned by the company to support overall operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Possessed Bachelor's Degree in Inventory management or Supply Chain Management.
  2. Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory planning and management, preferably in the automotive industries.
  3. Proven working experience as Inventory planner.
  4. Basic knowledge in customs procedures including import and shipping procedures.
  5. Strong in stocks planning and details.
  6. Strong analytical abilities, able to generate action plan based on data analysis.
  7. Basic knowledge in procurement.
  8. Able to work independently in managing daily operation and ad hoc project.
  9. Communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  10. Knowledge of SAP MRP systems.
  11. Able to speak, read and write in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
  12. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  13. Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  14. Candidate must be willing to work at Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
  15. Full time, one vacancy position available.
