Job Overview:

As a Principal Solution Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical/ functional support to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) prospective clients and existing customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. You will serve as a technical resource for less experienced Solution Engineers. You will develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. You will present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. You will facilitate customer application understanding and provide support throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities:

Deal Support

a) As Solution Engineer Lead

  1. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Oracle Financials, Risk Management, Procurement, Accounting Hub, Planning with budget checking and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solutions to maintain credibility with prospective customers. Provide proof points with relevant customer stories.
  2. Prior to a demonstration or key presentation, join the sales teams to conduct discovery sessions with representatives from the prospective customer.
  3. Discussions with key stakeholders to identify and understand current business processes which will determine the value drivers and solution enablers for the presentation.
  4. Prepare for demonstrations: configure the demonstrations to meet the specific needs of prospective customers ensuring delivery of a simple, appealing, and compelling presentation reinforcing the business value of Oracle Fusion ERP, EPM (Planning with ERP touch point), Risk Management, PPM and Accounting Hub solutions.
  5. Contribute to RFx responses.
  6. Stay up to date with the latest solution features and product roadmaps.

b) As Industry Solution Architect:

  1. Deliver inspiring and engaging presentations covering all aspects of Oracle Financials, PPM, Risk Management and PPM capabilities.
  2. Orchestrating with other members of a Deal/Bid team across the organization.
  3. Stay up to date with the latest Oracle Solutions as well as industry trends.
  4. Maintain a close understanding and appreciation of competitive solutions.

c) Help Enhance Demand Generation

  1. Collaborate with sales, business development and marketing teams to participate in various one-to-many lead generating activities.
  2. Provide relevant Solution Engineering support in marketing events/conferences, including presenting at events for the solution, developing reference customers, competitive positioning and analysis.
  3. Contribute to territory strategy planning with the sales team to identify whitespace opportunities.
  4. Collaborate with sales teams to plan account strategies through participation in informal and formal account reviews.
  5. Develop close relationships with sales teams in order to promote effective sales methodologies and the introduction of new products.
  6. Participate in new product release input and testing and training of peers.
  7. Serve as a champion for assigned industry-based product functionality and provide knowledge transfer to colleagues as needed.
