The Head of Enterprise Technology Architecture is responsible for leading Maybank's technology architecture department, overseeing the strategic direction and integration of various architectural disciplines including applications, data, security, and infrastructure. This executive role ensures that all technology initiatives align with the bank's strategic business objectives and delivers a cohesive and secure IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Strategic Direction:
    • Lead the technology architecture team, setting the strategic vision for how architecture can support Maybank's overall business goals.
    • Oversee the development and integration of specialized architectural domains to ensure they collectively meet business, operational, and technological objectives.
  2. Team Management and Development:
    • Manage the recruitment, development, and retention of a highly skilled architecture team across all specialties.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and accountability within the architecture team.
  3. Architecture Governance and Compliance:
    • Establish and maintain a governance framework that ensures architectural projects and initiatives are implemented within agreed standards and principles.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and security standards across all architectural domains.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
    • Serve as the primary technology architecture liaison to business units, IT management, and external partners.
    • Facilitate collaboration across architecture teams and stakeholders to ensure that IT solutions are effectively integrated and delivered.

    • Champion the exploration and adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies that drive innovation and competitive advantage.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Over 15 years of experience in enterprise architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing technology architecture strategies within a large financial institution.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing IT strategies in alignment with complex business needs.

Certifications:

  • Desirable: PMP, Certified Scrum Master, relevant technology certifications (e.g., AWS, Microsoft), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DAMA

Exceptional leadership and organizational abilities.

Advanced knowledge of architectural principles and practices across various IT disciplines.

Strong strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to plan at both strategic and operational levels.

Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging and influencing senior management and stakeholders.

Proven ability to lead through change and manage complex cross-functional projects.
