About the Role

The incumbent will be responsible for providing timely and accurate Payroll, Benefits, and Reporting processes to meet audit, statutory, and regulatory requirements.

In addition, the incumbent will also be required to review and improve relevant HR SOPs and processes as well as projects working in collaboration with his/her manager.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Overall responsible for full spectrum of Payroll function and ensure full statutory, audit compliance. (60%)

  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy in statutory payment processing including the submission of e-invoice.
  • Ensure GL journal distributes payroll transactions to the appropriate cost accounts and the balance of the journal posting.
  • Streamline the payroll and reconciliation processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support in payroll system enhancement, testing, parallel run, and implementation.
  • Ensure payroll is audit-ready to meet compliance requirements.

2. Support in benefits function and administer in accordance with company policies. (10%)

  • Ensure the new applications of Financing Assistance are accurately processed by the cut-off.
  • Become the Backup of People Advisors for e-benefits including the yearly enrollment and billing payment.

3. Assist in Workday Help and MY.ASKHR Mailbox Management (10%)

  • Ensure achievement of TAT of assigned emails, i.e., on Payroll & Benefits related matters.
  • Support in design, testing, and implementation of the new case management system.

4. Design, coordinate and implement process enhancement initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Payroll and Benefits Processes and System. (10%)

  • Be responsible for rolling out initiatives to streamline and enhance efficiency and effectiveness of HR services procedures and processes.
  • Work in collaboration to enhance HR systems enhancement. Drive office automation initiatives.

5. Overall Responsible for Employment Verification in accordance with company policies & Bank Negara compliance (5%)

  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of employment verification (Bank Negara – Financial & Insurance industry).
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of employment verification (Email – Others industry).
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of employment verification letters.

6. Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements. (5%)

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Education: Tertiary education qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Operations, or professional HR Qualification, or equivalent.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in HR operations, services, payroll, benefits, HR generalist, etc. Exposure in HRIS is preferred.

  • Special skills: HR analysis, Payroll, HR Operations, Compensation & Rewards.

  • Other requirements: Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
