What would you do?

Responsible for the execution of the Annual Audit Plan in providing reasonable assurance and enhancing the internal control systems, risk management, and corporate governance in ascertaining the level of adequacy, integrity, effectiveness, and efficiencies of governance, risks, and internal control systems within the Group to ensure the achievement of corporate objectives, strategies, and compliance with statutory requirements.

  • Evaluate internal control environments as part of the audit coverage per industry best practice and regulatory framework.
  • Evaluate financial records and management reporting including operations efficiency and other records.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and government legislation.
  • Partner with IT audit teams to provide support and contribute to IT/operational risk assessment, detect control deficiencies, and risks remediation.
  • Actively participate in all phases of the audit life cycle (audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting) and deliver audit reports consistent with best audit practice standards.
  • Articulate audit issues and draft audit findings in a factual & consistent manner.
  • Validate audit issue remediation activities so that control issues are effectively resolved.
  • Engage in advisory work to provide value-added feedback to assist management in improving operations efficiency.
  • Establish effective working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Be thoughtful and decisive in applying the appropriate level of analysis and judgment to make timely decisions.
  • Able to work as a collaborative partner by seeking & considering other opinions and contributing to an atmosphere where ideas are openly exchanged.

Who should join us?

  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy, finance, or equivalent. Professional certificates such as CPA, ACCA, CIA will be an added advantage.
  • 4 to 7+ years of relevant experience, with a proven record in performing internal and external audits.
  • Experience in the establishment of an internal audit plan through systematic risk assessment.

Technical Skills

  • Strong exposure to Financial Statements, Operations, Centre of Excellence (COE).
  • Familiar with big data analysis.
  • Experience in Financial Services Regulations i.e. E-Money Guidelines, Anti Money Laundering, Customer Complaints Handling, etc.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAAT) or analytic tools (ACL, IDEA, Tableau, Python, etc.) is a plus.

Specific Experience

  • Experience in Banking or Financial Services, Fintech, e-Commerce & Technology-based companies.
  • Able to adapt to a fast-moving and agile business environment.
