Our client's project is a well-established brand in the Information Technology industry who is now looking for a passionate and driven L1/L2 Application Support position. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your skill set, achieve job satisfaction and work-life balance.
Contract Duration: 9-12 months (Extendable Contract)
Competencies and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience as production support engineer
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude.
- General banking knowledge or Banking knowledge related to online banking
- Represent production support for the suite of apps in the domain in Agile stand-ups, planning sessions and deployment activities.
- Drive improvements to processes and design enhancements to automation to continuously improve the production environment.
- Identify reoccurring issues and work with IT & Business partners to remediate using the problem management process.
Job Specification
- Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services
- Expertise with containerization technologies, including WebSphere etc.
- Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux systems and SQL.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
- Good knowledge in IBM WebSphere, DB2, MySQL
- Additional – Knowledge in Monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace) is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Problem analysis and resolution.
- Perform system performance and stability monitoring
- Provide support and coordination of planned activities based on assigned shifts. Subjected to change as and when assigned by supervisor.
- Support the system maintenance (including deployment related activities) for Production and DR environment as assigned by the supervisor.
- Collection and analysis of system statistics
- On-call standby support 24x7.
- Complete other tasks to be assigned by supervisor
- Own the reported issue and work towards issue resolution.
