Your impact

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Section Leader to lead the Power Generation Team. This section brings together around 30 people across a number of teams with diverse skills and backgrounds from Malaysia. The Section Leader holds a diverse group of professionals that can support renewable generation, battery and pumped hydro storage projects, as well as thermal projects such as gas-fired, waste-to-energy and new-energy generation.

This Section Leader will work alongside the ANZ Generation Section Leader, Geothermal Section Leader and Philippines Section Leader to assign resources to secure and deliver services within the APAC region. Global integrated delivery will be a key performance indicator for the section leader role. In the Section Leader role, you will provide inspirational leadership and role modelling of Jacobs' core values, fostering an inclusive and diverse culture that embodies Jacobs' Culture of Caring and prioritises the health and wellbeing of your people. Your responsiveness and ability to develop strong client relationships will help to ensure we can identify and anticipate client needs and ensure our recruitment, retention and development programs reflect this need.

Here's what you'll need

  • A Bachelor's Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited University and a member of Chartered Institution who can demonstrate the required professional competences and commitment, as set out in the professional standard.
  • Experience across thermal and renewable technologies through project development and into execution.
  • Experience in securing and delivering services for generation clients from identifying opportunities, and skilled in proposal development and strategic sales processes.
  • Power generation delivery experience in development and execution with engineering consulting experience.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, demonstrating leadership skills and mentoring abilities, and being a creative problem-solver with the ability to challenge concepts constructively and maximise the power of diverse thinking and perspectives.
