Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst specializing in Planning and Budgeting to join our team in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our organization's financial planning process, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

  1. Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes
  2. Analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports for senior management
  3. Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and create comprehensive budgets
  4. Consolidate financial key performance indicators from various sites
  5. Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budgets, providing explanations for discrepancies
  6. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  7. Identify trends and opportunities for cost savings
  8. Support the development of long-term financial plans and strategies
  9. Prepare and deliver financial presentations to stakeholders
  10. Analyze and forecast capital expenditure budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  11. Prepare detailed financial models to assess project feasibility and ROI (Return on Investment)
  12. Monitor actual vs. budgeted spending and identify variances, providing actionable recommendations
  13. Continuously improve financial planning processes and methodologies
  14. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial analysis
Qualifications

Required :

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred
  2. 8-15 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or related field
  3. Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling techniques

Preferred :

  1. Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis
  2. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and financial reporting tools
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  4. Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
  5. Knowledge of financial markets and economic trends
  6. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely
  7. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Skills
  1. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Power BI for creating impactful financial presentations
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
