IT Manager

OUR CLIENT is a highly rated polished all-suite hotel with features such as an outdoor infinity pool, a trendy cafe & rooftop rainforest garden. In line with their desire for continuous service & operational improvements, they are looking for an experienced IT Manager with strong leadership abilities to take on responsibility for the day-to-day support and security of all IT systems, business systems, office systems, computer networks, and telephony systems throughout the hotel.

At least 5 years' experience in IT role within hospitality field or equivalent, with at least 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience. Good IT networking fundamentals, IT security and device configuration is required.

1. Oversee and handle all hotel IT services including network configuration, servers, workstations, networking equipment, PABX, email accounts, and support for the underlying server/desktop infrastructure.
2. Coordinate with vendors for Guest Internet, Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), IPTV, Telephony systems and other software vendors.
3. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
4. Carry out Root Cause Analysis on IT problems.
5. Monitor and maintain proper inventory of hardware and software licenses.
6. Prepare Policy & Procedures for the IT Department and for the user department including Preventive Maintenance Schedule for all IT hardware & Software.
7. Implement industry best practices on IT Security Policies and ensure thorough regular staff training.

1. A Degree or Diploma in Information Technology field or equivalent with at least 7 years' experience in IT role within hospitality field or equivalent, with at least 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience.
2. Effective verbal and written communication skills in both English & Bahasa Malaysia.
3. Strong IT networking fundamentals, general network setup, IT security and device configuration knowledge.
4. Good knowledge of server hardware, Disk storage technology, I/O devices.
5. Knowledge of network infrastructure, including CAT5/6 cabling, wireless networks, network switches, WAN/LAN, domain controller, Active Directory, firewall and VPN applications.
6. Knowledgeable in industry best practices and IT policies.

Offered Salary: Up to RM 6,000

Working hours: 40 hours per week
