About the position:
  • Camfil is looking for an Information Technology Security Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain the organization's security posture. This includes designing, implementing and maintaining security controls, conducting risk assessments, working with security incidents and staying up to date on the latest security threats.
  • This role will work with the Chief Information Security Officer, and will develop to be a security subject matter expert for Camfil providing support across the enterprise for the successful delivery of projects.
  • This position may be based in Singapore or Malaysia, depending on the candidate.
Role Priorities:
  • Develop, implement, maintain, upgrade, test and integrate security systems/platforms.
  • Support and participate in security incident investigations and threat hunting operations.
  • Provide security requirements into the design for various projects and ensure appropriate implementation of security controls for a variety of technical environments.
  • Assure the security of the solution architectures through security reviews and testing.
  • Conduct risk assessments, recommend, and implement controls to mitigate identified risks.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that security requirements are integrated into business processes.
Know-how:
  • Working experience in one of the following areas: security engineering, security analyst, system administration and IT operations engineer.
  • Experience in working with SIEM, workflow automation and orchestration.
  • Experience using PowerShell or Python for automation, security investigations.
  • Good understanding of operating systems security, network security, and attack procedures.
  • Good understanding of data analysis and knowledge in some database types.
  • Good understanding of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures used by threat actors.
  • Understanding of incident handling practices and tools and security frameworks.
  • Knowledge in penetration testing, security testing and building related tools.
Skills:
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Creative, organized, structured and good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Able to handle multiple assignments and collaborate across functional areas.
  • Willingness to learn.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in CyberSecurity / Information Technology / Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in IT security.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing security policy.
  • Experience with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Nuclei and other open source tools.
  • Deep understanding of authentication protocols and frameworks to include OAuth and IAM.
  • Have knowledge of the latest industry trends and best practices in information security.
  • Experience in bug bounty programs, CTFs and/or having InfoSec certifications (OSCP, OSWE, Security+ or other technical certifications relating to security testing) will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and initiatives.
