We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Support Specialist to join our team and assist our customers in utilizing our accounting software effectively.
Job Responsibilities:
- Customer Support:
- Provide technical support for customers using our accounting software via phone, email, chat and onsite.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software functionality, data integrity, and performance.
- Assist customers with software installations, configurations, and updates.
- Software Upgrades:
- Manage and execute the upgrade process for customer accounting software when new versions are released.
- Ensure minimal disruption to customer operations during the upgrade process.
- Training:
- Conduct training sessions for new customers to onboard them with our accounting software.
- Create and maintain training materials and documentation to support customer education.
- Technical Support:
- Format and set up PCs and other computer hardware as needed.
- Provide technical assistance for computer hardware and software issues.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
- Develop and update support documentation and knowledge base articles.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in supporting accounting software, eg. Autocount and SQL.
- Experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting software issues.
- Familiarity with software upgrade processes and best practices.
- Experience in conducting customer training sessions.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in formatting PCs and setting up computer hardware.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
