Job PurposeThis position reports to Team Lead, Business Processing (Group Insurance Operations), and the key role is to carry out the daily tasks of the business processing function, perform supervisory functions, and innovate the business unit's progression.
The Role:- Oversee the issuance of policy contracts, endorsements, and policy adjustments, including member movements.
- Ensure timely issuance of tax invoices, endorsement schedules, and medical cards.
- Accurately compute premiums and process experience refunds.
- Address employee benefits-related inquiries from clients and intermediaries via phone or email.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
- Provide guidance and supervisory support to junior staff, ensuring high standards of service excellence.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to support system changes and deployments.
- Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats, and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
- Highlight any potential concerns/risks and proactively share best risk management practices.
- Other responsibilities as entailed.
- A Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably specializing in Group Insurance administration or business processing.
- Experience in a supervisory role is an added advantage.
- Strong time management, analytical, and organizational skills, with a meticulous and proactive approach to work.
- Results-driven, task-oriented, and a strong team player.
- Proficient in mathematics and possesses excellent communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to perform significant data sorting and manipulation.
- Competent in other Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- A motivational leader who can drive innovation within the business unit.
- Independent and capable of performing effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
- High level of integrity, takes accountability for work, and has a good attitude towards teamwork.
- Takes initiative to improve the current state of things and is adaptable to embrace new changes.
