A Brief Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team and support Retrocession Administration within the APAC region. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in business and data analysis, with a proven track record of working across data management, administration processes, and driving process improvements. In this senior role, you will contribute to critical functions including data processing, treaty review, report validation, and end-to-end reviews of retrocession processes, while working closely with leadership to execute projects impacting Asia Business Operations.

What you will do

  • Serve as the Senior Business Analyst and subject matter expert for Retrocession Administration processes, controls, and reporting: Manage data processing, retrocession calculation, validation & trend analysis, reporting and billing, payment and reconciliation, communication, and production support

  • Execute and oversee data management and analysis: Manage comprehensive schedules for data collection and processing; Review data for month-end reporting, retention errors, data mismatches, and retrocession results; Perform testing of new system functionality

  • Lead claims processing and financial management: Oversee claims processing and recovery management within the retrocession framework; Manage retroceded billings and payment & reconciliation processes

  • Provide technical support and project assistance: Lead support for administration system development cycles; Support regional and global projects under leadership guidance

  • Serve as key point of contact and mentor: Address queries from administration teams across Asia; Coach, train, and mentor junior team members

  • Conduct audits and implement improvements: Prepare samples and documentation for audits; Track audit findings and implement recommended improvements

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Business, Accounting, Finance, Insurance, Information Technology, or a related field required

  • 5+ Years of related experience in insurance operations, business analysis, or data management required

  • Exposure to project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) required

  • Experience with data management/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, ETL, Python) preferred

  • Strong oral and written communication skills (Required, Advanced) required

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills (Required, Advanced) required

  • Ability to quickly adapt to new methods and work under tight deadlines (Required, Advanced) required

  • Strong interpersonal skills (Required, Advanced) required

  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders (Required, Advanced) required

  • Advanced data analysis skills (Required, Advanced) required

  • SQL query skills for data processing and analysis (Required, Intermediate) required

  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (Required, Advanced) required

  • Business Analyst certification preferred
