The Role:

  1. Ensure all Business Units comply with the Procurement Framework such as the Procurement Policy, Operating Guideline and Procedures
  2. Prepare quarterly reports and conduct yearly training sessions as required
  3. Perform yearly revision of the Procurement Policy, Operating Guidelines and the related procedures, and checklists
  4. Review all exception handling requests and expenditure approval forms
  5. Manage the Centralised Tender and Quotation process; i.e. maintain registry, monitor quotations and tender submissions, and observe the validation process
  6. Perform periodic review of internal controls of the department processes and highlight any non-compliance or failure in carrying out the controls
  7. Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
  8. Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
  9. Highlight any potential concerns/risks and proactively share best risk management practices
  10. Other responsibilities as required

The Person:

  1. Possess tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  2. Has minimum 1 year of working experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or similar field
  3. Detail-oriented, meticulous, and good with numbers
  4. Good communication, negotiation and sourcing skills
  5. Proficient in MS Office
  6. High level of integrity, takes accountability for work and has a good attitude towards teamwork
  7. Takes initiative to improve the current state of things and is adaptable to embrace new changes
