Overview

To the Client/s and Brand/s:

  • To understand the clients business and product
  • Collect & understand assigned brand & client guidelines
  • Ensure alignment of corporate identity and brand guidelines of all execution for assigned brands
  • Be a true brand guardian and expert of your assigned brands

To your department:

  • Ensure constant updates and approval of your assigned heads
  • Develop exceptional and great ideas that answers the brief
  • Contribute to the strategic development where applicable
  • Explore and ensure the best and highest quality execution of campaign and creative work
  • Determine and implement excellent craft
  • Generate award winning creative ideas

To the other departments & suppliers/contractors:

  • Ensure clear understanding and communication with other departments to facilitate better inter-departmental project operations
  • Work closely with Account Servicing teams to achieve highest quality service and creative output for the agency or clients projects
  • Negotiate and determine agreeable timelines with Account Servicing team and Traffic Manager
  • Work closely the Digital Department to determine innovative media and channel for projects
  • Work closely with Production/Studio Department to achieve desired and high quality creative execution
  • Monitor and supervise assigned visualisers, designers and studio artist
  • Provide relevant and accurate files for Production/Studio Department develop and deliver final output of creative execution.
  • Brief and oversee work and production with all production suppliers (Photographer/illustrators/etc)
  • Attend all pre-production and production meetings with third party suppliers to ensure clear and consistent communication of project execution and delivery

Person Profile of a Senior Art Director

Technical Requirements:

  • Technically savvy; comfortable with learning new programs & leading new initiatives
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe CS and other business applications like MS Office/Pages and PowerPoint/Keynote
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to focus on priorities, problem solving, handling of multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in Advertising, Graphic Design, Communications and knowledge in Digital and Online Marketing and Technology

Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on effective and efficient project delivery. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance, professional integrity and interpersonal standards. Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with creative and technical teams internal and external. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view. Well presented and professional. Keen for new experience, responsible and accountable. Able to get on with others and be a team-player as well as a leader.

Specific Job Skills:

Able to communicate and motivate via written media. Possess strong principles in project management, organization, digital marketing and technical production. Appreciates need for excellence in technical production, project management, quality of production of technology and media.

Computer skills:

Must be adept in the use of Mac (primary) and PC (secondary). Additional skills in digital multimedia (editing, file handling) and internet technology (e-mail, web browser) is required to facilitate better access to information, research and communication tools and methods.

Literacy and Numeracy:

Able to articulate creative strategy and rationales. Must be competent in evaluating and communicating briefs, creative execution methods and project objectives for use in client proposals and presentations.

Business and Selling Skills:

Must be able to engage in face-to-face and telephone communication. Able to demonstrate passion for creativity, craft and organization to heighten the quality and effectiveness of the department and agency output. Ability to present to small to medium group of internal teams and management.

Responsibilities:
  • Designing and producing outstanding artwork for both the Client and the Agency.
  • Creation and production of artwork for multiple Client accounts.
  • Direct multiple design initiatives and teams.
  • Lead and manage creative projects.
  • Ensure brand and design consistency across client initiatives.
  • Present concept/design treatments, storyboards, and completed work to internal and external clients.
  • Additional concept/design projects as required.
Qualifications:
  • Strong conceptual and design ability coupled with business acumen and customer focus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and prioritization skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Effective team building skills.
  • Understanding of digital is an advantage.
  • Highly knowledgeable of branding and conceptual development for advertising.
  • 3 - 5 years Agency experience, with a comprehensive understanding of integrated campaigns.
  • Knowledge of Mac, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Successful track record of managing multiple Creative assignments.
