Murex Tester

Project Description:

We provide end-to-end project services and have delivered over 200 successful Murex projects across all major asset classes and sectors including investment banking, asset management, corporate treasury and insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities within a scrum when working with Agile teams.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source and/or relevant tools.
• Test data/environment setup in coordination with upstream/downstream teams.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Setup and execute nightly automated regression packs on daily builds.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products/application to meet client needs.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities, test coverage and open defect counts.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• 4-6 years of experience in financial markets and Murex.
• Well versed in Integration Testing (Smoke test, ST, SIT) and Functional Testing (UAT & Regression) experience under FO & Post Trade settlement area.
• Execution of entire test cycle, test scenario and test cases.
• Perform file reconciliation and first level of analysis.
• Identify opportunities for further test automation or efficiencies through automation.
• Working collaboratively with other teams during test preparation and execution activities.
• Proactive investigating and debugging of application defects.
• Producing clear and concise reports during the lifecycle of an automation project.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
