Specialist, Finance Data Management (FDM) - Chinese Speaking

GDM specialists will be responsible for Global Data Management (GDM) activities in Sun System, adhering to company policies & procedures. The day-to-day operational duties include processing of master data requests, analyzing and validating data, updating records for proper filing of documents, and ensuring data security.

In addition, the specialist will act as 1st level user support for Sun System, and customize financial reports using Excel VBA.

The role will have the opportunity to participate in finance continuous improvement projects and transformation agenda in GSC.

  • Responsible for day-to-day Global Data Management activities in a global shared services environment.
  • Ensure data handling adheres to PPG policies and procedures, and only completed documents are accepted.
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure data integrity and completeness.
  • Provide 1st level support on Sun System & other PPG business applications, collaborating with HK IT & vendors for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Support GSC transformation agenda by identifying continuous improvement (CI) opportunities, eliminating non-value added activities, and improving control & automated processes.
  • Collaborate with team members in process automation, simplification, and transformation projects.
  • Assist in system integration (from various front-end systems to SunSystems) by setting up, documenting & troubleshooting.
  • Participate in integration projects to secure new scope of services.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders with system-related questions.
  • Participate and support staff engagement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need:

Education / Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting, Mathematics, Data Science, IT or equivalent.
  • 1 - 2 years in a GBS environment with related working experience in finance or data management.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Professional Experience

  • Knowledge of accounting and mathematical aptitude is required.
  • Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, & Word) is required.
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as VBA, Python, Custom UI or relevant programming is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 in Forms, Power Automate, PowerApps, SharePoint & Power BI knowledge is preferred.
  • Meticulous with a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality work output.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate reports, analyze, interpret, and organize large amounts of data.
  • Good communication skills to translate complex problems using non-technical terms.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of work-streams and proactively manage upward.
  • Great analytical skills and possess the ability to handle mass information efficiently.
  • Strong presentation skills - ability to produce clear, considered, and well-presented analysis.
  • Resilient and durable, able to maintain momentum in the face of obstacles and setbacks.
  • Good problem-solving skills, able to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty effectively.
  • Ability to work according to strict deadlines and manage various demands, demonstrating accuracy, attention to detail, and good time management skills.
