JPTCE is seeking highly motivated individuals to fill the position of Senior Engineers/Project Managers in its water works division. The main function of the position is to support in technical design, preparation of design reports, quality control, project implementation & management, and design review of the initiatives implemented by Utility providers and the Malaysian Government in the water treatment and supply industry.

Function and Duties
  1. Carry out hydraulic modelling & analysis for water distribution and pipe replacement systems using engineering software (WaterCAD).
  2. Design pumping stations and pumping main systems, including pump selection and pump curve design.
  3. Propose treatment processes for water treatment plants and produce conceptual layouts.
  4. Carry out infrastructure planning and design for water treatment plants and property development projects.
  5. Prepare design reports and tender documents, including specifications, bills of quantity, and design drawings.
  6. Liaise and coordinate with local authorities on submissions & approvals.
  7. Assist the director and project director in contract administration and project coordination at the office.
Requirements
  1. Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university & registered with IEM/BEM.
  2. Minimum 6 years' experience in consulting C&S engineering with at least 5 years in water supply works such as water distribution systems, pipe replacement works, water treatment systems, etc.
  3. Familiarity with water treatment processes and ability to review treatment systems/components proposed by contractors/suppliers.
  4. Computer literate with good knowledge in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD & WaterCAD, and other design software.
  5. Able to communicate & write reports in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
  6. Good interpersonal skills and able to provide good liaison with clients, authorities, utilities service providers, etc.
  7. Willing to travel outstation.
  8. Experience managing projects under Pengurusan Air Selangor, Lembaga Air Perak, and/or Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB) is an advantage.
