Secondary English Teacher – August 2025 Start
Sri KDU International School, Kota Damansara, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Secondary English Teacher to join our International Secondary team from August 2025. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a supportive and student-focused learning environment, helping students develop strong language and critical thinking skills.
Requirements:
- A relevant education degree, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification from a recognised university. (If PGCE is obtained, please specify the university.)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification is desirable.
- Experience teaching in the United Kingdom (UK) or British international schools is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and Cambridge IGCSE.
- Proven teaching experience in a secondary school setting with a strong understanding of subject pedagogy.
About the Role
As a Secondary English Teacher, you will be expected to:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging, and differentiated lessons that foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and assessment methods to support students' academic progress and personal development.
- Encourage active student participation, promoting confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback, supporting students in setting and achieving their learning goals.
- Incorporate digital tools and innovative teaching practices to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment, catering to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop curriculum plans, share best practices, and contribute to the school's continuous improvement.
- Engage with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and fostering strong school-home communication.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, supporting students' holistic growth beyond the classroom.
