Mechanical Completions Engineer

Role Purpose:

This role will basically part of the support team in Malaysia to projects in China Yard 2 and Bazil Yard.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Mechanical Completion planning and preparation
   • To support in developing project deliverables as per project & client requirement
   • Prepare Project ITR portfolio document - Prepare Project MC & Commissioning Handover Management document
   • Prepare ITR assignment matrix
   • Prepare company development work methodology / procedures.
   • Attend Supplier KOM to roll out MC requirements
   • Prepare major vendor packages / semi-modules ITR process concept (ITRs at vendor works)
   • Review Tag registers issued by Engineering and resolve comments with the Engineering team.
   • Review Tag registers issued by suppliers / sub-contractors and resolve comments with Engineering team.
   • Review piping test pack registers issued by site QAQC and resolve comments with QAQC Department.
   • Review piping joint ID registers issued by site QAQC and resolve comments with QAQC dept.
   • Review & Populate Tags and ITR assignment in Completion Management System, Validate system ITR & certificate assignments
   • Prepare and timely ITRs to execution team - Provide CMS Training & Completions Roll out to Project team and Subcontractors
2. Mechanical Completion Execution
   • Review Project management of changes and update database accordingly.
   • Prepare weekly MC & Punch list reports from CMS and support construction meetings.
   • Oversee day to day ITR & Punch list update in CMS and Support team as required.
   • Coordinate Supplier FAT phase punch items for successful completion.
   • Coordinate preparation of Punch walkdown packs at various gateways & initiate Certificate Sign off.
   • Prepare the lessons learnt & share the information to all members.
   • Prepare Project Mechanical and Commissioning Handover Dossiers
   • Archiving Project Handover documents (Dossiers, ITRs, Certificate, Commissioning Procedures, Registers etc.) in Document management System
   • Review of completed ITRs from site, suppliers, sub-contractors, construction team and commissioning engineers
   • Compile MC Dossier (MCD) and System Completions Dossiers (SCD) with the help of MC Assistants
3. Mechanical Completion coordination
   • Participates in meetings with the engineering team to explain the tag issue.
   • Independently deals with vendors and sub-contractors with regards to comments or queries on completions of database deliverables and provide solutions to the queries raised.
   • To interact with other engineering departments to obtain engineering and specific supplier documents & details.
   • Communicate with construction teams, QAQC personnel, package engineers and commissioning engineers for the completion of ITRs as per commissioning priorities.
   • Ensure to provide Lessons learnt / Improvement Opportunities based on the project experience
   • Ensure to incorporate the best practices / improvement opportunities as received from past project experience
4. Relationship responsibilities
   • Reporting shall be as per Corporate / Project Organization chart
   • Develop relationships with client technical or service personnel.
   • Maintain good relationships with team members and motivate as required.
   • Willingness to work and train others in a team environment, assisting other multi-cultural and interdepartmental team members.
5. HSEQ and Code of Conduct compliance
   • Comply with the relevant clauses of MODEC HSEQ Code of Conduct as described in the HSEQ Policies, 14 HSEQ Standards, and HSEQ Procedures to always protect people and the environment.
   • Ensure that all personnel work in a manner that is not harmful to their own health and safety and the health and safety of others.
   • Comply with MODEC Group's Code of Business Conduct & Ethics and Policies to ensure business activities and decisions conform to the laws and regulations and demonstrate high standard of ethical behavior.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical college certificate.
• Track record of mechanical completion/ commissioning of at least 2 FPSO projects with marine and topside modules. Minimum of 4 years' work experience in EPC of onshore/offshore oil and gas or FPSO projects.

Technical Competencies:

• Familiar in use of Software, Database systems related to CMS-Completions Management System (WinPCS/ICAPS/PIMS/CEMIC/ Go-Completion etc.), PDF Writer, Bluebeam and general computer literacy (MS office).
• Certificate course or through direct work experience in use of all functions of PDF Writer and Auto-CAD (Basic).
• Track record in FPSO systems site completion execution.
• Basic working knowledge of marine and topsides mechanical completion/ commissioning certification process.
• Knowledge of project management, mechanical completion principles involved in coordination and deployment of both human and material resources.
• Good understanding of mechanical completion management, mechanical completion methodology principles, quality assurance and HSSE requirements.

NOTE: Due to National Content requirements, priority will be given to local Malaysians.
