The Site Management Team at Acre Works Sdn Bhd (AWSB) plays a critical role in overseeing the execution and coordination of construction activities, ensuring that all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications and regulatory standards. Working closely with engineers, subcontractors, and safety personnel, the team upholds the highest standards of site operations and compliance.

We are seeking to recruit a highly experienced Site Supervisor to be based at the Penang International Airport Project Site.

This key role focuses on three core responsibilities:

  1. Lead the daily supervision and coordination of on-site construction activities.
  2. Drive a proactive safety and quality culture.
  3. Support efficient project execution through active site monitoring, documentation, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical understanding of civil construction works (including pavement, earthworks, and drainage), and a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving on an active site within a high-security airport environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Temporary Works & Site Preparation
    Supervise construction of temporary access roads (air side).
    Oversee installation of temporary hoarding (air side and land side).
    Coordinate site clearing, surveying, and setting out works.
  2. Demolition & Relocation
    Manage demolition of existing buildings within staging zones.
    Supervise relocation of workshop structures.
    Oversee removal of existing pavement markings, surface markers, and track jetting.
  3. Earthworks & Piling
    Supervise earthworks including excavation, filling, and compaction.
    Oversee RC piling and general piling works.
    Ensure quality control in pile embankment and pavement preparation.
  4. Pavement & Road Construction
    Manage sequential pavement construction:
    Laying of sand / crusher run
    Laying of geotextile / geo-grid
    Laying of cement treated base (CTB)
    Laying of pavement quality concrete (PQC)
    Installation of isolation joints – saw cut & sealants.
  5. Drainage & Infrastructure
    Supervise drainage works, including stormwater management systems.
    Coordinate hoarding and barriers installation for safety and security.
  6. Structural Foundations & Special Installations
    Bridge gate foundations
    Hammerhead foundations
    High mast foundations
    Rotunda foundations
    Manage installation of Jet Blaster Deflectors.
  7. Airfield Lighting & Geotechnical Works
    Coordinate Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) installation.
    Supervise geotechnical instrumentation installation and monitoring.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Diploma holders with extensive experience may be considered).

Minimum 3 years of experience in infrastructure or airport-related construction projects.

Sound knowledge of method statements, construction sequencing, and site safety.

Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Strong coordination and leadership skills on site.

Familiarity with airside and landside operational requirements is an advantage.
