Role Description

This is a contract on-site role for a Performance Tester (Load Runner) located in Bayan Lepas. The role involves conducting test execution, load testing, applying analytical skills, developing test strategies, and performing performance testing on IT systems.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Performance Tester (LoadRunner) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to ensure optimal system performance and scalability. The role involves working closely with development and infrastructure teams to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using LoadRunner and other performance testing tools.
  • Conduct load, stress, endurance, scalability, and capacity testing on web and enterprise applications.
  • Analyze system performance under different loads and identify potential bottlenecks.
  • Monitor system metrics (CPU, memory, network, disk I/O) and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Define performance test strategies, test plans, and test cases aligned with business needs.
  • Generate and present detailed performance test reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Implement CI/CD integration for automated performance testing.
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices for performance testing and tuning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing using LoadRunner.
  • Proficiency in scripting, debugging, and executing performance test scenarios in LoadRunner.
  • Strong understanding of performance engineering concepts such as response time, throughput, latency, and concurrency.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, or JMeter.
  • Good knowledge of databases (SQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB) for query tuning and optimization.
  • Experience with web and API performance testing (REST, SOAP).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating performance testing in DevOps environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
