Planning & Coordination (EVENTS)
- Propose menu as per budget given and per customer request.
- Pre-setup for event flow and ensure buffet line and food arrangement is arranged.
- Prepare quotation and liaise with customer on the arrangement.
- Classroom booking for Diploma students, exam and others related with School of Engineering.
- Replace receptionist during her absence.
- Responsible for front desk task including visits or meetings set up.
- Prepare signages for every event in PSDC (Corridor, Lobby, Door, Tent Cards and Food Venue).
- Assist with Promotion Booth Rentals.
- Prepare costing for every menu, daily and special event menu.
- Ensure prices are up to date.
- Suggest new menu for variety and cost saving.
- Search for new vendors or suppliers.
- Ensure all venue and equipment are in good condition and sufficient.
- Good communication and teamwork among staff.
- Make sure customer satisfaction is a priority.
- Conduct meeting and weekly briefing before special event or when we have an issue.
- Think creatively about how to promote and enhance our services.
- Ensure all documentation, passport, typhoid and food handling class are in order and updated.
- Planning and yearly budget for F&B.
- Inventory and purchase items for F&B.
- Ensure all documentation and halal certification from vendor are updated.
- Application and renewal every two years.
- Handle and be in charge of the Halal Committee.
- Responsible for Halal audit and spot check in Kitchen.
- Ensure all chefs and F&B staff adhere to rules and ensure only halal products are used in our premises.
- Co-ordinate for weekend catering.
- Handle Cafeteria Committee and inspection to ensure their food hygiene is followed and obtain customers' feedback.
- Compile students' feedback and evaluation.
- Monitor and oversee the operation. Conduct meetings with Caterer if needed.
- Any other areas of coordination and assistance whether by own initiative or directive for the purpose of providing a conducive training environment by improving the technology and information support capability of PSDC and meeting internal and external customer requirements.
- Undertake additional responsibilities where and when deemed appropriate by Dept Head.
- Take on any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
- Degree in F&B/Culinary Management/Hospitality or Catering Management.
- Experience in F&B, Food costing, purchasing of Materials & Products.
- Good Team Player.
