About the role:

The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, evaluation, procurement, implementation, ongoing maintenance and operational support of our global network infrastructure. You will provide leadership and expertise in the design, evolution, and support of Nintex's enterprise networks, and work in synch with IT operations to deliver fast, available, resilient, and reliable systems and solutions.

Your contribution will be:

  1. Responsible for the proactive design, management and optimization for Nintex's global LAN/WAN systems.
  2. Design, implement and administer LAN/WAN systems including (but not limited to) Internet services, firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, WIFI and security systems in support of a global enterprise architecture.
  3. Provide design and support for interconnectivity between multiple international locations.
  4. Lead the design of future LAN/WAN architecture.
  5. Performance and capacity planning: audit, monitor, analyze and reconfigure network environments for performance improvements and future scalability.
  6. Conduct LAN/WAN analysis to ensure optimal performance of the network.
  7. Work closely with system engineering and IT Support team members providing network expertise/support.
  8. Develop, maintain, and improve network security policies and procedures.
  9. Document, maintain and provide diagrams for global network infrastructure and architecture.
  10. Document all network configuration changes.

To be successful, we think you need:

  1. Bachelor's degree in an associated area, or equivalent experience, is required.
  2. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) required.
  3. 8+ years of progressive IT experience in a Network Engineering role.
  4. 5 years' experience with all aspects of router and switch network design, installation, and configuration for a medium to large scale, heterogeneous, Internet service environment.
