We are seeking a passionate and articulate Pastry & Ice Cream Demo Chef to join our team. This role focuses on preparing and presenting innovative pastry and ice cream demonstrations using the company's products. The successful candidate will work closely with the Branch Manager to provide technical support and engage with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare a wide variety of ice cream and frozen desserts. Pastry skills are considered a plus.
• Prepare and showcase a variety of ice cream creations, including gelato, soft serve, frozen yogurt, and custom ice cream sandwiches, and other frozen desserts. Demonstrate advanced techniques such as creating layered ice cream cakes and incorporating inclusions.
• Assist in the creation and testing of new pastry and ice cream recipes, working alongside senior chefs to develop innovative uses of company products, with a strong focus on ice cream-centric desserts and flavor profiles.
• Present the above pastries and ice creams made with our dessert range, cooking creams, gelato, and soft serve to potential customers, positioning ice cream as a key product line and highlighting its profitability and consumer appeal. Support in organizing demonstrations for new and existing customers. Patiently communicate and provide informative explanations on the product technical specifications, applications, and selling points.
• Assist with training, exhibitions, and events that generate brand awareness.
• Address customer questions, concerns, and inquiries regarding our products and respective recipes.
• Maintain a clean and organized demonstration area, adhering to food safety and sanitization standards.
• Miscellaneous tasks including packing and keeping inventory of product samples.

Job Requirements:

• 2 - 3 years of experience in a pastry background and some working experience in the commercial kitchen environment is an added advantage. Experience with ice cream preparation and presentation is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef with a focus on creating innovative and visually stunning desserts. Experience creating and presenting ice cream desserts is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate equipment demonstrations and maintain necessary materials.
• Flexibility to adapt recipes and techniques for different equipment models and brands.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic culinary environment.
• Willing to travel upon business requirement.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint and Microsoft Office is preferred.

The position is based in Unigrà Food Processing Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd in Tanjung Langsat, Pasir Gudang.
