The Buying Executive will support the Head Buyer in executing the company's merchandising and purchasing strategy, ensuring a strong product assortment, optimal stock levels, and competitive pricing. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in sourcing, selecting, and managing pet product assortments for retail stores and e-commerce.
  • Work closely with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and promotions.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with inventory teams to ensure adequate supply.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Support the Head Buyer in planning and executing product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional activities.
  • Maintain accurate product information, pricing, and supplier records within company systems.
  • Liaise with the marketing and e-commerce teams to ensure proper product presentation online and in-store.
  • Assist in tracking and evaluating supplier performance to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with pet industry trends, new product innovations, and customer preferences.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to purchasing, such as order processing and contract documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • 2+ years of experience in a buying, merchandising, or procurement role, preferably in retail or pet-related industries.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales and inventory analysis.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Familiarity with retail inventory systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Passion for pets and knowledge of pet products is a plus.
