The role of the Group Risk & Compliance Manager is to assist the board and the management in the oversight of the entire spectrum of risk management activities for all the companies within Zaiyadal Group of Companies and its subsidiaries. These activities among others include the risk identification and assessment, developing the action plans together with the risk stakeholders, monitoring as well as communication to the management and the Board of Directors. In addition, the Compliance role covers the Group Policies and Procedures as well as the Sustainability Reporting. The role will also provide advisory and supporting function for the risk management activities for PITECH and ZSB Group of Companies who will in turn be responsible to provide the relevant resources for the execution of the risk management functions in their own entities. The role also acts as Internal Audit Administrator.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Board and Management in the oversight, monitor and review on the adequacy and effectiveness of Zaiyadal Group of Companies risk management framework, policies and practices using EMS.Net as the platform.
  • Establish and review frameworks, policies and procedures on enterprise risk management (ERM).
  • Review and challenge the risk scorecards, registers, the risk responses and action plans as well as the Business Continuity Management plans.
  • Present the Group's Quarterly risk report to the Corporate Risk Management Committee and the Board Risk Management Committee.
  • Secretary to the Corporate Risk Management Committee and the Board Risk Management Committee.
  • Promote and integrate risk management in the Policies and Procedures.
  • Identify and assess risk via interviews (one-to-one or one-to-group basis) or workshops with all functions of Zaiyadal Group of Companies.
  • Determine the risk treatment and where applicable, develop the action plans (together with the risk owners and the head of department).
  • Review the effectiveness of the risk action plans and propose improvements.
  • Monitor the progress of the action plan.
  • Prepare minutes of Meeting any other reports requested by the BRMC, as deemed necessary. Develop the KEY Risk Indicators for Zaiyadal Group of Companies.
  • Develop the departmental brainstorming for risk management activities or initiatives.

Compliance

  • Act as the documentation controller for the Group Policies and Procedures.
  • Responsibilities for the Sustainability Reporting in the annual report.

Internal Audit

  • Act as the administrator to liaise with external auditors for internal audit activities.
  • Initiate audit plan and audit schedule for internal audit activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Accountancy or any other discipline.
  • At least 10 years' experience in the risk management function.

  • Good interpersonal and people skills.
  • Ability to analyse information obtained from conversations, reports and observations to identify the potential risks that may hinder the reputation, safety, security and financial prosperity of their organisation.
  • Highly critical and analytical.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive through changes.
  • Good commercial knowledge as well as a sound understanding of financial issues, including current accounting standards.
  • A team player who enjoys technical challenges within a fast-paced environment, applies sound judgement in successful task planning and execution, and meets deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to adjust own style to suit audience and achieve objective.
  • Manages complex and conflicting priorities with ease.
