Accountant / Finance Manager

Job Responsibilities:- Lead the finance team in managing the full set of accounts and financial operations.
- Assist on reviewing & enforce Internal Control on AR/AP/GL/Treasury/FA.
- Prepare accounting schedules and reconciliation as part of month end close process.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Cash flow planning including handling bank facilities, working capital, and cost control initiatives.
- Work closely with Head of Department to analyze variances between actual and budget built, provide insights to senior management.
- Provide forecast information to management for future trend.
- Perform project cost analysis and assist in preparation of WIP schedules.
- Manufacturing variances analysis.
- Purchased Price variances – analyze & segregate price variances between budget and actual price variances based of PO price and standard built.
- Production variances – analyze & work closely with Planning, Production & Warehouse on configuration created on Production Order variances on std BOM vs actual usage.
- Validate & analyze Key Performance (margin, Headcounts, order input) & functional P&L trend.
- Responsible for Tax analysis / schedules for Annual Tax Computation.
- Ensure compliances with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
- Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.
- Managing e-invoicing processes and ensuring compliance with electronic invoicing standards and regulations.
- Analyse, recommend and implement improvements in accounting systems, procedures and processes to enhance, improve workflow.
- Provide financial advice and support to the Management.
- Assist in setting up Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- To perform any ad hoc task as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree holder in Finance, Accounting or equivalent professional qualifications CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent certification.
- At least 3-5 year(s) of working experience in the related field position.
- Knowledgeable in SAP system is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, SST, and financial regulations.
- Good team player with positive working attitude and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills, with proficiency in accounting software (e.g.: SAP/Ms Office) and e-invoicing systems.
- To be based in Bukit Mertajam, Pulau Pinang.
