Summary:

Conduct tooling/fixture and equipment design/maintenance, support MPDE team for the new product pilot run with the objective of meeting production requirements and ensuring machine stability on production within Engineering policies, procedures, and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Work and drive vendors to set up/debug automation machines; provide timely feedback and solve problems to ensure project progress.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing during pilot run and production start-up/change over.
• Identify problems and troubleshoot a wide range of complex mechanical issues for automation lines.
• Ensure effective communication across the company.
• Perform line maintenance/change over while guiding technicians to ensure automation machines run smoothly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with automated assembly machines, skilled in fixture/jig design and troubleshooting for automation machines.
• Familiar with Vision Inspection (Keyence/Cognex), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), pneumatics, sensors, motors, and other motion control devices and component selection.
• Robot knowledge is a plus.
• Interfacing knowledge between mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiar with Pro-E or SolidWorks, AutoCAD software to create 2D and 3D drawings.
• Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good interpersonal skills.
• English skills, able to read technical materials in English.
