Senior Business Analyst (18 months contract)

Job Summary
Manage requirements for assigned projects from high level customer journey to detailed business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan, conduct, and facilitate sessions for business requirements gathering and ensure deliverables are met on a timely basis.
  2. Prepare, present, and update stakeholders on as-is and to-be models, including the process, data, workflow, and application, as part of the requirements gathering/user story preparation process considering the customer's journey and experience.
  3. Identify technical development areas and ideate to-be model solutions with technical teams.
  4. Collaborate with project manager and technology team to perform risk assessment, project scope, and development of a high-level plan.
  5. Analyze and manage requirement traceability matrix and prioritize requirements.
  6. Perform quality review checks on project deliverables from stakeholders.
  7. Develop test plans, perform testing, and conduct training activities.
  8. Manage post-implementation activities including problem solving with stakeholder engagements for root cause analysis and improvements.
  9. Adapt and apply different delivery methodologies including SCRUM and Waterfall, determining the best methodology for the specific project.

Education & Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in business analytics, computer science, or data analytics.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a Business Analyst role.
  3. Experience in Life and/or General insurance with an in-depth understanding of insurance products and processes.
  4. Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  5. Experience with Ms Visio or other process mapping tools and JIRA and Confluence.

Preferred:

  1. Strong process and analytical/numeracy skills.
