The Impact You'll Make

As a Strategic Commodity Manager, you will manage industry suppliers, develop and implement commodity strategies, align development deliverables, benchmark suppliers, negotiate agreements, and resolve delivery, cost, and production challenges. Your strategic expertise will support commodity availability, quality, and cost to maintain Lam's reliability and competitive edge.

What You'll Do

Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitate supplier Global Agreement negotiations, renegotiations, and contract addendums.
  • Represent strategic commodity management on a cross-functional strategic commodity team.
  • Define and monitor metrics in line with AOP (annual operating plan) objectives relative to supplier performance.
  • Regularly evaluate cost and quality performance benchmarks.
  • Develop and apply strategic commodity plans for plastics machining commodity.
  • Encourage early supplier involvement on new product designs.
Who We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS/MS degree in Business or a technical field.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in a Supply Chain, Operations, or production/planning environment, preferably in Semiconductor industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Proven experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Six sigma green belt or above is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Business and technical background with an understanding of CNC machining process.
  • Knowledge of plastic and/or metal materials.
  • Familiar with plastic component fabrication techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and written/oral communication skills.
  • Previous project management experience.
  • Experience with continuity planning and risk mitigation development.
  • Experience in capacity planning and cost reduction approaches.
  • Capable of developing and delivering compelling arguments and presentations.
  • Maintains current knowledge on relevant trends.
