Senior Facility Engineer

Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Trouble shoot difficult electrical related problem. Scope covers all utilities equipment and system of entire plant. Equipment include HVAC, compressed air, vacuum, MSB, LN2, WWTP, sewage, DI generation, process chilled water etc.
2. Innovate new ways to reduce cost, improve efficiency, improve work system and effectiveness, product quality and cycle time. Work to achieve zero production line downtime.
3. Execute projects efficiently, effectively at optimum cost, in particular, LN2 piping, CDA piping, vacuum piping, and assist in HVAC system maintenance. Maintain PM recall system, update PM records.
4. Helps to ensure a smooth and zero internal power and utilities interruption at all times (24/7). Identifies cost reduction projects and implements it in time. Solves difficult problem where other facilities and equipment staff cannot.
5. Innovates new ideas to improve work efficiency, work quality and effectiveness.
6. Install, control and maintain cleanroom and localized clean-booth environment meeting ISO Class 7 Cleanroom standards. Develop and Implement proactive programs to achieve zero unplanned downtime. Coordinate parallel activities, analyze and trouble-shoot specific utilities problem to support critical production demand.
7. Develop and identify opportunities in high expenses area to reduce utilities cost through innovative ideas.
8. Recommend latest state-of-the art solution to upgrade existing utilities equipment or install new equipment to support our latest product lines transfer.
9. Solving difficult building maintenance and sewage/waste treatment issue. Help solve HVAC electrical trouble shooting and preventive maintenance issue.
10. Derive Continual Improvement. Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of task. Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.
11. Authorized to shut down any operations that is deemed to be unsafe or have violated any Regulations or Act required by the Malaysian Law.
12. Authorized to stop any activities if the work that can pose immediate danger to the employees. Authorized to shut down any electrical related system that is deemed to be unsafe.
13. Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time. Plan, design and set up new installation upon request by IE or other parties.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

1. Degree in Electrical Engineering
2. Minimum 5 years' experience in the electronic industries, in the field trouble shooting electrical equipment related and utilities equipment related issues.
3. Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc.
4. Utilities related or production equipment related training.
5. Electrical engineering trouble shooting.
6. Power quality.
7. SPC. Lean Manufacturing.

Working Conditions

1. This role is 100% onsite.
