Cloud Operation and Support Junior Engineer

Our client, founded in 2021, is one of the top players in Financial, Trade, Data Analysis, and Technology solutions provider.

Due to rapid growth in business, they are hiring a Cloud Operation and Support Junior Engineer.

Job Description
  • Design and oversee Cloud computing strategy to support business growth.
  • Provide customers with stable, efficient, resilient, and scalable cloud computing.
  • Participate in designing, implementing, and maintaining multi-hypervisor and multi-cloud computing virtualization architectures, optimizing cloud computing system performance across regions and enhancing security.
  • Perform tasks necessary to fulfill client service level agreements for application and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement new cloud computing technologies for international business, as well as provide technical support.
  • Deliver customized cloud virtualization from different vendor solutions including VMware, Microsoft, Google, Cisco, Dell, HP, Ali, Tencent, and Hua Wei, and work closely with vendor technical consultants and sales support to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage customer account satisfaction from a technical standpoint and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards as per local laws.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience with large scale Cloud platform or software implementation (high transaction volume and high-availability concepts); graduates with strong knowledge can be considered.
  • Understanding of multi-hypervisor and multi-cloud computing virtualization technologies, familiar with relevant standards and implementation methods.
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies such as OpenStack, VMware ESX, XEN, Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and related technologies, such as Ubuntu.
  • Familiarity with network virtualization technologies, including VXLAN, GRE, STT.
  • Familiarity with software-defined storage and virtualization technologies, such as Ceph, GlusterFS.
  • Familiarity with x86 server architecture and understanding of distributed storage technology, MySQL databases, virtual network technology, and PaaS SQLMI, Postgres SQL, etc.
  • Ability to learn and perform system administration duties, including server installation, system/application installation, patch management, and optimizing performance strategies.
  • Ability to learn and design & develop workflows to automate the deployment of applications and infrastructure environments.
  • Familiarity with logging and monitoring to monitor event logs for changes and errors, resolve issues, and maintain detailed documentation.
  • Understanding of industry public cloud solutions, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Ali Cloud, Tencent Cloud; experience in public cloud, private cloud, hybrid cloud, Cloud Native, container/Kubernetes, microservices, desktop cloud, API management, etc.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, and Unix or Linux shell scripting knowledge is desirable.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (written and verbal) with strong communication skills and a team spirit.
  • Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks under stress to meet project timelines.
  • Additional bonus points:
    • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
    • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing large-scale cloud computing platforms.
    • Hands-on experience in cloud security and container monitoring.
    • Hands-on experience in designing and building Multi-Cloud Computing Virtualization from scratch.
