We are looking for Senior Associate, Fund Operations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Associate, Fund Operations to join our organization. The successful candidate will report to the Vice President, Fund Operations and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of daily trades processing, settlements, monitoring of corporate actions, stock holdings reconciliation, and portfolio valuation of unit trust funds and private mandates. The successful candidate will also ensure that day-to-day processes are carried out efficiently and daily NAV/fund prices are computed timely and accurately in accordance with SC's guidelines, and that the basis of valuation is consistent with disclosures in prospectuses/Information Memorandum/Investment Agreement/Deeds/Operations Manual.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily operations, including investment processing, data uploading, and importation process of security transactions, holdings, prices, and foreign exchange rates for both unit trust funds and private mandates.
  • Ensure submission of reports for private mandate clients, regulatory bodies, and Trustees are accurate and delivered on a timely basis.
  • Ensure readiness of cash/trading accounts prior to commencement of investments by the Fund Managers.
  • Daily monitoring of cash flows and reconcile against online bank statements. Ensure all cash inflows and outflows are projected accurately in cash flows.
  • Regulatory reports to the SC/EPF, funds information for both internal reporting and external publications are reviewed promptly and accurately. All tax returns and computations are reviewed, computed correctly, and submitted promptly to IRB.
  • Identify and specify the need for system enhancements to improve process workflow. Resolve outstanding system issues and enhancements with the vendor in a timely manner.
  • Ensure portfolio valuation is performed accurately on a daily basis, taking into account the accuracy of corporate actions, capital injections, and withdrawals, ensuring timely trade settlements.
  • Ensure unit trust funds' income distributions are computed correctly as and when there are declarations of income distribution by the unit trust funds.
  • Corporate actions – communicate timely and effectively with the Fund Managers on corporate action decisions and ensure proper accounting of corporate actions in the portfolio valuation of the unit trust funds and private mandates.
  • Assist in unit trust funds annual audit and compliance audit by FiMM.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, or partial Professional Accounting Qualification in a related field.

Work Requirements

  • At least 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar capacity in asset management or unit trust industry.
  • Personal Attributes: Upholds integrity, excellent team player, excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to work under highly stressful environments, and has an eye for detail.
