Role Overview

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in managing full sets of accounts while supporting our finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with compliance processes. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional eager to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage full set accounting functions including preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and month/year-end closing.
  2. Process and maintain accounts payable/receivable, invoices, and expense claims with precision.
  3. Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in ledgers.
  4. Assist with GST/SST filings and ensure compliance with Malaysian tax regulations.
  5. Support audits by organizing documentation and liaising with auditors.
  6. Communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients to address inquiries and resolve financial matters.

Requirements

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Min 2 years of experience handling full set accounts. Fresh graduates with internships in finance will be considered.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., AutoCount, QuickBooks, SQL Accounting). Familiarity with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Certifications: LCCI, CAT, or part-qualified ACCA/CPA candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Effective communication skills for cross-departmental and client interactions. Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
