What You Will Do

  • Purchases materials in accordance with prescribed purchasing regulations and procedures. Reviews and analyses purchase requisitions, investigates and evaluates sources of suppliers. Ensure material is available for Production according to the respective schedule.
  • Manage and control the company's external suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of materials for production.
  • Ensure materials are bought at the latest quoted price and delivered on time for production.
  • Support CDS/BU on price confirmation and material market trend analysis.
  • Support Production Manager/BU to evaluate inventory and take corresponding actions to improve inventory status.
  • Ensure purchase price is valid for the particular quarter, and both Supplier and Customer have the same purchase price as updated in the system.
  • Continually improve purchasing methods and set up necessary flow for purchasing-related matters.
  • Place orders with suppliers according to the needs of Production.
  • Resolve discrepancies (Doc, Qty, Unit price) related to inventory and purchasing matters.
  • Maintain component's standard unit price and item info in the system for reporting purposes.
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with vendors.
  • Cooperate with SQE and relevant departments on supplier quality management.
  • Support Finance and BU on Account Payable evaluation and control.

What You Should Have

  • At least 3 years of experience in Electronics components purchasing; experience and know-how in mechanical parts (plastic, metal) purchasing is a good plus.
  • Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of materials, products, and the commodity market in the area of specialization.
  • Familiarity with SAP or a similar inventory system.
  • Good team working spirit and experience, with a proactive attitude towards cooperation with colleagues.
