Job Purpose

The Marcomm Director – Community Banking is responsible for driving business growth through innovative marketing and communication strategies. This role involves overseeing integrated marketing initiatives, media planning, and customer engagement activities while ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing cross-functional collaborations, brand building, and delivering impactful marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the bank's community banking objectives.
  • Marketing custodian of community banking unit – Deposit Business, Wealth Management, Cards Business, Auto Financing, Mortgage, Digital Banking, Branch Distribution.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns across multiple channels to enhance brand visibility and business impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product team, data team, sales team, and other relevant departments, to ensure cohesive and successful marketing campaigns and drive new initiatives.
Customer Acquisition And Engagement
  • Plan, manage and execute effective and timely Go-To-Market plans.
  • Develop targeted marketing campaigns and innovative strategies to support customer acquisition and engagement initiatives and ensure execution from start to finish, from proposal, campaign idea, visual and copy vetting, production of materials, videos, across all channels.
  • Monitor campaign performance and proactively review improvement strategy. Report campaign and media KPIs to business units and management on a regular basis.
  • Conduct marketing opportunity analysis to capture market trends and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Foster deeper customer relationships by understanding and addressing their unique needs and preferences.
  • Partner with product and partnership teams to create compelling offers and promotions that drive value for customers.
  • Partner with the digital marketing team to enhance customer experience and increase conversions.
Brand Building And Management
  • Strengthen and maintain a consistent and impactful brand identity for Community Banking.
  • Oversee the development of high-quality marketing assets, including messaging, visual identity, and content.
Marketing Communications Support & Stakeholder Management
  • Provide strategic marketing communications support to business divisions, branches, and integrated channels, including:
  • Advertising and promotions.
  • Media planning and execution.
  • Creative production and procurement of promotional materials.
  • Premium item selection and procurement.
  • Events support.
  • Ensure smooth stakeholder management by effectively collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver impactful results.
Qualifications

SKILL AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in a similar role within an FMCG company or marketing/advertising agency.

  • Expertise in planning and executing marketing activities across various platforms, including ATL, BTL, and digital channels.
  • Strong proficiency in creating and managing integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Proficient in leveraging data and insights to inform marketing decisions and strategies.
