Job Summary:

The Sales Executive is responsible for corporate group sales, managing and securing business from corporate clients requiring group accommodations, meetings, and events. The role involves developing business opportunities, following up on leads daily, planning business prospects, handling event arrangements from start to finish, and maintaining accurate sales reports. Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred to better serve a diverse corporate clientele. Additionally, the Sales Executive must be flexible and perform any tasks assigned by management as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Group Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and develop business opportunities for corporate group sales, including company retreats, conferences, and business gatherings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, business organizations, and travel agencies handling corporate groups.
  • Conduct sales calls, presentations, and client meetings to secure group bookings.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements for corporate group sales, ensuring competitive pricing and service quality.
  • Follow up on corporate sales leads daily to convert potential clients into confirmed bookings.
  • Plan and strategize business prospects to maximize revenue generation from corporate groups.

Meeting & Event Planning (End-to-End Management):

  • Handle end-to-end event planning for corporate groups, from inquiry and proposal to execution and post-event follow-up.
  • Work closely with corporate clients to customize event setups, including meeting spaces, F&B arrangements, and special requests.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (banquet, front office, housekeeping, F&B) to ensure seamless execution of corporate events.
  • Oversee event setups and provide on-site support for corporate group events.

Sales Administration, Reporting & Market Analysis:

  • Maintain an updated database of corporate group clients and sales activities.
  • Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to track performance and identify improvement areas.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to refine sales strategies for corporate group sales.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed about industry trends and networking opportunities to expand corporate client reach.
  • Represent the hotel at corporate networking events, trade shows, and industry meetings.
  • Perform any tasks assigned by management to support overall sales and business goals.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in corporate group sales or event sales, preferably in a 4-star hotel setting.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a focus on corporate group sales.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple corporate group accounts and events simultaneously.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and goal-driven.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and hotel sales systems (e.g., Opera, Delphi).

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and Malay is required.
  • Mandarin proficiency (spoken & written) is preferred to communicate with Chinese-speaking corporate clients.

Other Requirements:

  • Willing to travel locally for corporate client meetings and networking events.
  • Flexible to work extended hours, including weekends and public holidays, depending on corporate event schedules.
