Psychiatrist / Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Infinite Mindcare, located in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, is a licensed, multi-specialty outpatient counseling center also offering programs for addictions, first responders, and corporations.
We are seeking a full-time, experienced, licensed Psychiatrist and/or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work at our thriving practice.
Job Duties:- Performs psychiatric assessments as well as ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests.
- Diagnoses mental illness and interprets data to facilitate treatment plans.
- Prescribes medication for treatment of patients' mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders; provides psychopharmaceutical medicine management and counseling for patients.
- Provides continued medication, medication monitoring, patient education, and refers patients to hospitals as their treatment or condition warrants.
- Coordinates various phases of treatment with other health care providers.
- Keeps abreast of current developments in patient care management, health care legislation, and community resources.
- Capacity for self-direction.
- Direct and coordinate care with other service providers to enhance treatment outcomes.
- Participate in multiple yearly events in order to promote mental health awareness and advocacy in the community.
- Flexible hours.
- Medical Degree and fully qualified and registered as a Psychiatrist.
- OR Master's Degree from a Nurse Practitioner education program (with specialization in mental health); licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with the ability/experience to prescribe independently.
- At least 2 years post licensure relevant experience required.
- Eligibility for registration with the Cayman Islands Health Regulatory Council (CPAM).
- Ability to work with both teens and adults.
- Experience working with diverse cultural populations.
- Experience working with first responders is preferred.
- Must be personable and relatable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to foster teamwork; train and direct the work of team members and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work productively and make independent decisions.
- Maintain documentation in a timely manner using our EHR platform, Dr. Chrono.
Professional references, CEU certificates, and graduate school transcripts will be part of the interview process.
