Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor in Psychology

Sunway University is seeking a Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor in Psychology within the School of American Education. The incumbent will play a key role in delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as conducting impactful research.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, labs, and workshops in Psychology related subjects.
- Develop, update, and review course materials to ensure alignment with industry trends and MQA academic standards.
- Conduct research in Psychology related fields and contribute to scholarly publications, presentations, and conferences.
- Stay updated with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance teaching methods and course content.
- Evaluate and assess student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Perform administrative functions related to the assigned subjects (e.g., student attendance, invigilation, etc.)
- Participate in extracurricular activities, and promotional/marketing events for the programme.
- Assist in the development of departmental policies, procedures, and academic goals.
REQUIREMENTS/ PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:
- Possess a PhD or Master's degree in Psychology.
- Minimum 4-6 years of teaching experience in Psychology related subjects
- Strong knowledge of subject matter and current industry trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proven track record of publications be an added advantage.
- American University graduates are preferred.
