The Failure Analysis Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting failure analysis laboratory equipment to ensure reliable operation and minimal downtime. This role supports continuous FA activities by ensuring equipment readiness, safety compliance, and effective collaboration with engineers and analysts in a shift-based laboratory environment.

  • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on equipment.
  • Assist in equipment installation and setup under engineer's supervision.
  • Maintain tools, spare parts inventory and ensure proper documentation of work performed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and report hazards immediately.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback on equipment performance.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) control measures in work areas.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance of ESD protection systems (e.g., wrist straps, mats, grounding).
  • Support instrument calibration activities, including preparation, handling, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineers and external service providers for calibration tasks when required.
  • Monitor and record daily and weekly recordable datato track equipment performance and reliability.
  • Diploma or associate degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Basic understanding of machine preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting/repair.
  • Willingness to work with delicate samples and hazardous materials under strictly controlled procedures.
  • Keen interest in working in a laboratory environment and openness to learning new techniques and technologies.
  • Able and willing to work in a shift-based schedule, including weekends or holidays as required.

Knowledge of basic coding and Power BI is a value-added advantage, particularly for data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
