We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Center M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Engineer to join our growing team at Blue Bulb Engineering Sdn Bhd. This is an exciting new role rather than a replacement for existing staff. As a contract position, there is the potential for conversion to a permanent role based on your performance and contribution.

Blue Bulb Engineering Sdn Bhd is Uptime Institute Business Partner in Malaysia and Vietnam. We provide specialised consultation services and commissioning engineering services for the Data Center Industry both internationally and locally.

What you'll be doing

  • Carry out as Data Centre ("DC") M&E Design Consultant roles.
  • Collaborate with client and other disciplines to understand and develop the DC electrical and mechanical designs, from basis of design (BOD) to issue for constructions (IFC) for DC project including problem solving.
  • Develop designs and calculations which meet or exceed client's quality requirements and Uptime Institutes Tiering requirements.
  • Perform engineering audit, review, analysis of design to meet concurrent maintainable or fault tolerance.
  • Provide technical advice to client on DC MEP commissioning services.
  • Lead a commission team for commissioning activities such as Factory Acceptance Testing, Pre-Start Up Testing, Performance Testing, Functional Testing, Integrated Systems Testing for DC project.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans, commissioning programme, test scripts, method statements and Cx related activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate the integration and testing of various systems.
  • Review contractor method statements.
  • Produce weekly and monthly commissioning progress reports.
  • Document all commissioning activities and findings, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Relevant experience in DC commissioning or similar mission-critical facilities
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical systems commonly found in DCs
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Willing to work at site
  • Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply
