About the role
Our reputable property developer client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Johor Bahru, Johor. In this strategic role, you will oversee large-scale township development projects from conception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will play a crucial leadership role within our construction division, managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams to achieve organisational objectives.
What you'll be doing
Oversee planning, coordinate with stakeholders, develop schedules and risk strategies.
Manage execution, budget, timelines, and stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and legal standards.
Identify and mitigate technical, financial, and safety risks.
Lead, mentor, and coordinate teams and contractors.
Maintain records and provide updates.
Handle client relations and expectations.
Monitor daily site activities.
Manage inspections, handover, and documentation.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline
Minimum 8-10 years of project management experience in construction or construction consultation, with at least 5 years managing large-scale township or residential development projects
Professional qualification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and regulatory requirements in Malaysia
Demonstrated experience in budget management, financial forecasting and cost control
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and manage stakeholder relationships effectively
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D
Good understanding of building codes, zoning laws, safety regulations, and environmental standards
