Job Title: Temporary Retail Assistant (MyTown)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Temporary Retail Assistant to join our team at our retail outlet in MyTown, Kuala Lumpur. As a Retail Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers in locating products, achieving sales targets, managing inventory levels, maintaining the retail outlet and storeroom cleanliness, performing POS and cashiering transactions accurately. Your contribution to achieving sales targets through active participation in promotional events and campaigns is essential.

Responsibilities
  1. Greet and welcome customers with a friendly demeanor.
  2. Assist customers in locating products within the store.
  3. Answer customer questions regarding product features, prices, and availability accurately.
  4. Achieve assigned sales targets by actively promoting products to customers.
  5. Monitor inventory levels regularly and inform the supervisor about any shortages or overstocks.
  6. Maintain cleanliness of the retail outlet by organizing shelves, dusting displays, etc.
  7. Ensure proper housekeeping of the storeroom for efficient inventory management.
  8. Perform Point of Sale (POS) transactions accurately while handling cash or credit/debit card payments.
  9. Provide correct change to customers during cash transactions.
  10. Contribute actively to achieve sales targets by participating in promotional events and campaigns.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification required
  2. Previous experience as a Retail Assistant or similar role preferred but not mandatory
  3. Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage
  4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  5. Flexibility to work on weekends or holidays if required

We have been credited with being "resource-saving", "low-priced", "simple", "anonymous" and "nature-oriented". There are more than 1,000 MUJI stores around the world carrying more than 7,000 items ranging from clothing and household goods to food and even houses. But the foundation of our ideology hasn't changed since the day we were conceived; like the compass that points due North, we continue to orient ourselves to the basis and universality of daily life.
