Revenue Assurance Analyst

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Revenue Assurance's mission is to assist Management and business owners in assessing and containing the risk of revenue loss arising from operational inconsistencies and anomalies, errors, fraud, and other sources. The fundamental purpose of the Revenue Assurance function is to maximize revenue recognition and minimize revenue loss within the organization, reinforced through the establishment of sound processes, systems, and governance.

Job Description
  • Maintain a centralised view of all RA Controls and their performance (via monthly / quarterly reconciliations), including, but not limited to:
    • Updating RA Performance Dashboards
    • Maintaining an up-to-date log of all cases/ issues, analyses, and database for lessons learned
    • Review and present results with all relevant stakeholders
  • Lead and resolve reconciliation irregularities investigations, including:
    • Analysis of results to identify the source of leakages
    • Identification of root causes and recommend corrective or preventive actions
    • Drive internal stakeholders (at all levels) to develop and implement remedial actions and best practices to address the irregularities and minimise revenue leakages
  • Conduct regular reviews with stakeholder teams to ensure RA Controls stay relevant with the business
  • Update existing RA controls and performance monitoring capabilities or develop new ones in line with evolving business requirements based on industries best practice
  • Perform impact analysis on new product launches and formulate/ present risk mitigation strategies and actions
  • Lead business process changes that affect the company's ability to identify, monitor, or collect revenue (eg new system implementation, upgrades, new product roll-outs, etc)
  • Manage RA tools lifecycle and process documentation
Qualifications
  • Appropriate qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experiences in Revenue Assurance or Billing, preferably in the Telecommunications industry
  • Possesses a data analytical mind with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, R, or Python will be advantageous
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications and demonstrated sound acumen in systems applications.
  • Strong and confident communicator with problem-solving and process improvement skills
  • Detailed, organised, with demonstrated skills to lead and drive stakeholder engagements, consensus, and achieve outcomes
  • Adaptable to evolving work environments, shifting priorities, and organisational needs
  • Fast learner who works well under pressure
