The Role:We are looking for a forward-thinking and inspired full-stack developer who is looking for growth. In this role, you will have a chance to put your development skill into redesigning the base of our tech & e-commerce platform as well as explore machine learning as part of our future expansions and product architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Development:
  • Design, build, and maintain a high-performing, scalable, and secure e-commerce platform to support business objectives.
  • Ensure smooth integration of front-end and back-end systems for seamless functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the entire application stack to minimise downtime.
Code Development & Quality:
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that supports scalability and optimises performance.
  • Perform regular code reviews and testing to ensure a high-quality, error-free codebase.
  • Implement coding best practices and contribute to the team’s coding standards and guidelines.
Feature Implementation:
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to transform requirements into user-friendly features.
  • Develop intuitive front-end interfaces and robust back-end functionalities to support business needs.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to ideate and prioritise new platform features and improvements.
Version Control & Deployment:
  • Use Git for effective version control, including managing code branches and coordinating pull requests.
  • Support continuous integration and deployment processes to streamline releases and updates.
  • Monitor and optimise application performance, ensuring smooth deployment across environments.
Collaboration & Communication:
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align technical implementations with business and user goals.
  • Communicate technical requirements and updates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices in full-stack development.
  • Conduct regular system performance audits and suggest improvements to enhance scalability and efficiency.
  • Experiment with new tools and techniques to ensure the platform remains competitive and innovative.

The Requirements:
  • Comprehensive JS expertise to be able to deploy promise instances.
  • Ability to comprehensively adopt a scripting language like Shopify Liquid
  • Experience using ORMs in a NodeJS, Python or Golang environment, for either MySQL or Postgresql databases
  • Experienced in Google Cloud Platform
  • Solid CI/CD experience - preferably with Cloudbuild
  • At least one software repository on GitHub/bitbucket with original work.
  • Collaborate often with other developers (using a version control system, preferably GIT) to write the best code for the project and deliver amazing results that our users love
