Product Specialist

**Job Requirement**:
Graduate in mechanical engineering

Master in acoustic or equivalent

Working experience min 5 years in acoustics, ideally for industrial (Tunnel, Oil and Gas)

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Good presentation skills

Independent and able to work with minimum supervision within a team

**Responsibility**:
The Product Specialist for Acoustic Products is responsible for all technical aspects of acoustics of TROX Malaysia products but special focus on Sound Attenuators for industrial projects. Product Specialist for Acoustic Products acts as a source of technical expertise, both internally and externally, for all TROX Malaysia Products in terms of Acoustic.

**Technical Organization**:
Product Specialist for Acoustic Products reports directly to the Technical Director and works closely with all team members within the technical department.

**Responsibility**:

- Technical support to the sales team with regards to acoustic products.
- To support and provide technical consultation to the Industrial Project Team and Sales Representatives in relation to customer requests for information and submit such information in a timely manner as needed. This includes, but is not limited to:

- Review of technical specifications provided by the sales team and makes product selections.
- Producing specification compliance statements together with the sales team.
- Providing a response to customer requests for information (RFI)
- Provide computational fluid dynamics (CFD) assessments towards acoustic and is expert in it.
- Providing design calculations, reports and assessments through collaboration with third parties
- Support the Industrial Project Team and coordinate design changes and manage the impact to the existing test reports, as required.
- Assist the Industrial Project Team and Production departments regarding international and local certifications, new product design, product improvements and features required by the market.
- To act as the product specialist with responsibility to ensure all design changes are reflected in silencers or splitter drawings. Works hand in hand with the design/draft teams.
- Management of all TROX Malaysia acoustic products certifications:

- Organize all acoustic testing and certification for TROX Malaysia, including for TROX subsidiaries and agents supplied by TROX Malaysia
- Monitor and document the acoustic certification validity
- Identify and highlight to technical and sales team when certification must be renewed
