The primary role of the Product Manager is to plan, organize and control production for the Metal departments to ensure safe, efficient and effective operation and that all products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard. This role requires strong leadership, commitment, a pro-active and flexible approach.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- To define ambitious production goals, improve technologies, oversee daily production operations and processes, and resolve problems with workable resolutions.
- To translate customer requirements into production strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of outputs.
- To monitor and review daily, weekly and monthly actual production results against plan and analyze production data - output, yield, productivity, utilization and cost variance, as well as, to investigate discrepancies against standard and instigate appropriate corrective / preventive action.
- To ensure all production work documents which include but not limited to PMR, TRN, material consumption and defective form are adopted, filed and updated.
- To ensure the output of production by process and total finish good (FGN) are recorded.
- To ensure MES runs smoothly in production floor and able to provide informative data for decision making as and when required.
- Responsible for optimum the utilization of manpower (Manpower planning), machineries (Routine Inspection) and materials (stock control) to maximize the productivity with mínimal downtime.
- To develop, organize, implement and monitor production standard operating procedure to ensure smooth flow of work and communication, as well as, to meet customers’ requirements.
- To ensure all workmen involved in production are working in the correct and safe manner, and that current regulations, guidance notes and approved codes of practice are adopted at all times, and they are aware of and comply with all the safety practices.
- To develop KPI for each function in the production relate specifically to productionoutput, efficiency and quality to strive for higher performance.
- To recruit, manage, coach, motivate and train the production workmen and organize necessary interventions for improvement.
- To maintain financial stewardship through the execution of budget planning and cost control to help meet projected profitability targets and business results.
- To direct process capability and efficiency efforts to reduce overall operating costs and improve plant operations.
- To keep abreast of the entire production floor, including facilities, machineries and equipment in accordance with and maintain accurate records in regard to all applicable local and statutory legislation, ISO systems and IPS standards and serve as the first contact person for all matters relating to production of the department.
- To work closely with the project team and planners in order to produce production schedules with timelines and manage the production floor priorities to complete production schedules as agreed, as well as, be responsible for the continued review and updating of these performance schedules.
- To work closely with all departments to ensure that communication pathways are effectively utilized and any conflicts and/or misunderstandings are resolved in a respectful, professional and timely manner.
- To plan and manage production work days hours on allocated productions, projects and activities in line with IPS standard.
- Other duties and tasks as directed by the Management in line with competencies and activities associated with any of the above processes.

**Requirements**:

- At least Diploma in Manufacturing Management or related fields.
- An analytical mind and meticulous nature.
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience with good exposure of manufacturing management especially relevant to metal production.
- Competent and accurate in handling manufacturing/ production.
- Experience in renovation or furniture industry is added advantage.
- Have great sense of urgency and able to handle multi tasks under pressure.

**Salary**: RM5,000.00 - RM10,598.72 per month
